Ode to Perfectionism

I really, truly dislike being a perfectionist.

Makes it incredibly difficult to be satisfied.

Not exactly something one can turn on and off at will.

Isn't very endearing, either.

Makes me even weirder.

Inspires me to try harder.

I think this will help you Sonja...if you think about people who really really like beer. Lots of people truly enjoy the flavor of beer and repeatedly tell others how "sweet","aromatic", and "flavorful" it is. But when the person tries it, they decide it tastes like dish water. No matter how much the beer conossieur tries to persuade the other person, they never will understand, because they are used to wine, or soda, or what have you. It's not because they are too good for it, it's just because they are used to different things... Thats my analogy for the procrastinator and the perfectionist. No one is better than the other as long as you do all things to the glory of Christ. Remember that eprfectionism (ie Legalism) is dangerous as is laziness. There should be a balance between the hectic and busy life, and the quiet and ordered one. Moderation in all things, right? Like beer...
